I we E TERING SECTIONS we I.S. N. U. 1903 HERE WERE one hundred eighty of us who entered school at Normal this year. We were known as Sections lf, I and L, but were called especially the new students until we longed for the time when we should have passed that stage. At tirst, we were afraid of our instructors, and niost of us were discour- aged when we canie to realize our own insigniticance and ignorance, and to know of the great aniount of Ctsuhject matter in the world. But. we went to work, employing our Wills and exercising all our Powers so that we were not overconie either hy tear or hard lessons. Ainong us are niany distinguished people, such as Calhoun, Jackson., Tyler. Taylor, Johnston and Hull. The best people of our Parish are Matthew Qsj and Sainuell. While one ol the class has Szhot-well, the only aninials we can claim are l ivons, Bevers, and Kitts. These have given us a Lively tiine. We feel that we are rich, as we not only have Cash, hut own two Bonds. We need never go hungry, for sonic of us are always eatin' QEatonj Rice, or ai Pancake. We have gone through the year without sustaining any injury, with the exception oi' two hurns,-Co-burn and Black-burn. We niiglit well choose for our class colors. Greene and Browne. We have enjoyed our iirst year here, and look back with especial pleasure to the afternoons we spent at Miss Hartniann's and Miss Gowdy's, and the evening at Mr. Colton's. We have not displayed an extraordinary aniount of brilliancy, b-ut are re- serving it, so that in a year or so, we may shine forth as seniors,-the bright lights of Elf. S. N. U. L. D.
