T37 gidin' .44 I congratulate the Class of 1985 as you begin your professional careers. l hope that your exper- ience at ICO has left each of you with the realization that your education has only begun and that you owe to both yourselves and your patients an on- going commitment to learning and, in turn, profes- sional growth. l am certain that you will find your future to be both challenging and rewarding and offer you my sincerest best wishes. David A. Greenberg, O.D., M.P.H. Vice President for Academic AffairsfDean Since you came to the Illinois College of Optom- etry, there have been more changes occurring than in the previous thirty years. l am pleased to have had the privilege of being here during that time and l compliment you on your patience and understand- ing. Our objectives during your last year are to improve the curriculum, to ha ve better intern exper- ience in the Clinic, and to provide optimum patient care . . all of which should help better prepare you for professional practice. Hopefully, as your profes- sional life develops, you will understand why all of the changes at the lllinois College of Optometry are in the interest of meeting the needs of a changing profession, and also to address the philosophy of full-scope optometry. We will continue to imple- ment the changes at lCO in the best interest of the institution, education, and patient care. Best wishes to you in your endeavors. lt is my hope that you will leave with an allegiance to your Alma Mater and also to your state and national associations and the profession.
