Math, Science Courses Test Student Minds As chairman of the Mathematics and Sci- ence Division, Dale Williams was responsible for establishing and expanding programs which continually challenged the inquiring minds of young students. By participating in math and science courses, they not only learned basic concepts, but also how to apply scientific reasoning to their own research during lab periods. The division increased its services with the addition of courses in microbiology, compara- tive vertebrate zoology, organic chemistry and historical geology. Dr. Doris Kolb and Gene Gallion, instructors of chemistry and physical science respectively, were named recipients of the first Teacher of the Year awards.
