J 11-4' Dr. Edwards Builds College as President The college's image and development are reflections of its president, and Illinois Cen- tral's growth from 2,500 to 4,000 students and its reputation throughout the state are attributed to President Kenneth L. Edwards. Being president involves a unique ad- ministrative personality. He must be able to articulate college needs to the Board and to the community, and he must be an outgoing person, able to get along with administrators, faculty and students. Forseeing problems and evaluating and reevaluating college programs are two very important tasks that a presi- dent accepts.
