College Reaches Milestone, Holds Graduation for 112 Born in the minds of a few concerned citi- zens in April, 1964, an idea blossomed into a reality June 1 when Illinois Central College held commencement ceremonies for its first graduating class. Receiving associate degrees or certificates from College Board Chairman Zealy Holmes, and thus fulfilling the dream, were 112 students. The graduates were challenged by Presi- dent Kenenth L. 'LT-I Miss Nancy Hunter Reigns At Formal Tara, symbol ot the elegance of the Old South, was theme for the 1969 spring formal at Peoria's Hotel Pere Marquette. The May dinner-dance was highlighted by the coronation of Nancy Hunter as Queen ot the college's second formal. Nancy was spon- sored by the Veterans Club and elected in an all-school election. The radiant Nancy Hunter received the queen's robe just before the coronation.
