Adding Machine Stim ulates Thought The combined efforts of ICC students and the Peoria Players resulted in the stimulating production of Elmer Rice's Adding Machine. Even though the play was written in 1922, Rice aptly predicted the problems that people like Zero would have during the computer age. Under the direction of Don Marine, the play was up-dated so that the audience could re- late to the action and to the characters. By combining the medium of the stage with that of motion pictures, the characters' inner thoughts and desires were proiected as they spoke their lines. The dramatic and somewhat bizarre make-up allowed the actors to lose themselves in the characters they portrayed. The inner thoughts of Mr. Zero lBruce Whitel are pro- iected in the background while Mrs. Zero lBonnie Matthewsl nags her husband. 555 is ls i ii '.-fel K? , W 5 i, .- ,i W . l M , I X 52.1. . Before Bill Bahntleth has his blood pressure recorded, nurses explain the procedure to him. Students Respond to Plea for Blood Through the coordination of Nurse Mrs. Jeanette McCammon, the regional bloodmo- bile made two successful visits on campus. The first drive was held on November 'I and was set up in the Engineering and Industrial Lab. On March 14 the drive was set up in the col- lege room of the Union. Together the two drives netted 200 pints of blood, which was the preset goal for the college. The student chairmen for both drives were Suzie Christy and Mike Ambrose. Unlike other students, this donor studies for the Con stitution test while the nurse prepares her for blood donation. iii.: ' q,i! i'ii'1 'lla-ui g,,g,lllllll ll jfilr fl.,ii5llli,i,,,,,,,,.i,i,, ll L i - V . l iii , 4, 15' T.
