Symphonic Band The Studio Band under the direction of Richard Richardson performed concerts for community organizations, at high schools in the district, at other iunior colleges throughout the state and in our own Student Center. The group also displayed its musical abilities at the Junior College Art and Music Conference at Western Illinois University. The highlight of the year was performing at the Notre Dame University Jazz Festival in March. The Symphonic Band is new this year and is the first co-ed band on campus. Concerts in the Student Center and for community organi- zations were performed during the year under the direction of Don Lewellen. Chamber Singers and Mixed Chorus, both under the direction of Ronald Pexton, sang in concert for community organizations and at high schools in the area. Trips to Belleville and Western Illinois University were taken by the groups during the school year.
