.Q-11. PRINCIPAL Dear Graduates: There is an old saying which states: He is wise who knows the sources of knowledge. As is generally true of proverbs and maxims, there is a great deal of truth expressed here in the compass of a few words. One of the most important objectives of education is to put the student in touch with the sources of information and the methods of acquisition of knowledge. This is in part what llliana has tried to do for you, not only in the fields of secular knowledge, but also and especially, have we tried to put you in constant touch with the source-book of all real wisdom--the Holy Scriptures. It is here that we find the formula for the kind of wisdom that is basic to genuinely successful living-- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Important as proficiency in the various branches of leaming may be,we can never afford to lose sight of the Scriptural reminders that it is only the Word of the Lord that abideth forever.
