VAN DRUNEN As you are on the verge of completing your four years of high school and look retrospectively upon those years, you may experience a variety of reactions. You may be aware of satisfaction in work well done, you may be conscious of genuine intellectual and spiritual growth, you may cherish new friendships and new values acquired through those years, or you may be troubled by a consciousness of indifferent attitudes, of poor achievements, and of neglected opportunities. What ever the record may be, the record stands. There is little we can do about the past, there is much we can do about the future. lf you have made a good beginning, may you by the grace oi God build on that good foundation and go on to ever greater achievement as ever in the great Taskmaster's eye . li on the other hand you have not been good stewards of the time and talents that have been entrusted to you. be encouraged by the fact that every new day ofiers opportunities to take a new hold and to rectify old mistakes. If we sincerely seek divine strength and guidance in overcoming our weaknesses and shortcomings, the future is full of promise, no matter what the past may be. Sincerely, C. MAINTENANCE SHII-IH RN Our most capable secretary, Mrs. lean Brink, is pictured handing out an absent excuse to Rich Terpstra. This is one of the numerous tasks she faithfully exercises, daily here at Illiana. N Paqc Twenty-Three lAIlIlS llXIlIAliY The Ladies Auxiliary is composed chiefly of students' mothers. Their work is to raise money lor Illiana, which is done through the sponsoring of movies, choirs. bake sales. and various other activities. It also proves to be a welcome break for most of the housewives. Without their help, Illiana would be without many of its added features.
