HOMECOMI G ' The 1962 Homecoming Weekend, October 26- 28, was planned under the direction of janet Cor- mia and Mary Pat Kerr, co-chairmen. The Ilion Bombers were hostess to New Hartford Central School on the Ilion football Held. -Homecoming activities began with a pep ralley Friday afternoon, October 26. Cheers to open the the rally were led by the varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders, accompanied by the I.H.S. band, under the direction of Mr. Ingraham. Guest speaker was Mr. joseph Baker and Mr. Charles Lang was master of ceremonies. Following all the speakers, the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen was held. Chosen by the Class of '63 was VVesley Lints for King and Mary Pat Kerr for Queen. Saturday's schedule began with a parade assem- bled on West Street and parading up to the Clover- leaf at school. l'Ves and Marv Pat were driven by Jim Rothwell at the head of the parade. The King and Queen were also honored before the game and during halftime, when they were presented with flowers and gifts. The 1961 Homecoming King and Queen were also honored at this time. Satur- day evening the King and Queen reigned over the Aflirror Dance, which was held in the boys' gym from 8 to 11. lt
