Star shining, keeps on smiling at me, while here I am, still on earth, frowning, sitting here waiting for the arrival of dawn. Oh, can you believe it, the time has come again, even though we have waited for it from the first day of school. And though we are glad it is over it suddenly comes to mind, that with all the friends here, and all the goofy things we used to do, one just doesn't want it to end. All the friday nights, spending them tripping out in the dark, all the Saturday nights and the beat of the FM stereo, freaking out to the max and beyond. The boring monday mornings, and the little things that happen during the week days, and even though it might seem like we didn't pick up everything here what comes afterward is what really counts. Then now, after you've looked back on it, it don't really seem bad, and as sadly, though happily we leave to go, our trails lead in different directions, we just somehow know, we'll join again, here in the fall. For others, we say our farewells, and hope our trails cross path again one day. So, until later, when we see each other at l.H.S. again. It's time to depart friends, keep us in your memory. One more tiling before you go, look back over your shoulders, you'll see the grass and the trees are waving goodbye too. Your beautiful, everyone of you, in your own kind of way ... You are a composite of the things you say, the books you read, the thoughts you think, the company you keep, and the things you desire to become. Juniors Juniors ... A Junior is at that stage where they're too young to know better, but old enough to get into trouble. A Junior gets a class ring, but usually just as soon as they get it, it goes right on the opposite sex's hand or neck. A Junior is excited for their Junir Prom, but when it's time to get their date, well, thats another story. Juniors spend: hours and hours and hundreds of dollars on their prom. Is it all worth it? A Junior is taller than a sophomore, shorter than a senior and smarter than a freshman. Towards the end of the year a Junior thinks Wow! I'm gonna be a senior next year. I'll be able to get the back of the bus now. I'll con Mr. Duran out of a couple of classes. I'll get looked up by the freshman! '' WOW! TUBE A SENIOR NEXT YEAR! There's a time to grin and show your grit . . . But, there never was a time to quit. SOPHOMORES A Sophomore is........ AJ.V. cheerleader, Winners of the Spirit Jug (only when the Seniors don't win). You've been promoted to Algebra II and you still can't open your locker. A sophomore is........ someone who passed the 9th grade, someone who is looked up to by freshman and down upon by their upper classmen. Sophomores are people who are just realizing that high school is not all fun and games. There are fun times though, like homecoming, pep rallies, games, and the like. They aren't really in high school and they aren't really in junior high but they have class officers and class favorites just like their upperclassmen. A freshman is confronted with the new faces of the high school but can still cling to the well known faces of their friends at the junior high. You can always tell a freshman because he can't find his classroom. He wonders around saying, Where is room 16? Where is Mr. What Cha Ma Call Its room? Activities are fun and educating. They give you the responsibility you need to grow. Really you don't mind if your sponsor yells at you till she's purple in the face, now do you? You don't mind either if you don't get home from a game till two in the mom and have to get up in time to go to school the next day. Right People? Let's hear it!
