Boll The Boy Scouts of America, Troop No. 103 of Ignacio,Colorado, is sponsored by Ignacio High School. The Troop was organized September 5, 1938 with a membership of eight boys, but soon after, it was enlarged by nearly twice the number. J. E. Connell is Scoutmaster and Lawrence Wiseman is Assistant Scoutmaster. Thoro are two patrols, the Woodpecker and the Beaver . The Boy Scout organization is very helpful to many thousands of boys. The aim of the organization is to prepare boys all over the world for hotter citizonship. The boys who havo passed their tenderfoot tests are as follows: Elbert Floyd, Edward Floyd, Dick Morris.Bobby Payno, Kenneth Miller, Lavern Moser, Kurt Christensen, Paul Daulton, Canova Korns, Billy Bryan, Dick Copeland, and Walter Turner.

THIRD ROW: Miss Burgoss, Jean Morris, Kathryn Chipman, Eilono Jonos, Ella Marie Flack, Miss Orr. 1 Being a Girl Scout teachos bettor sportsaanship; it teaches a girl the importance of being honest and loyal. The Girl Scout learns about animals and nature,and to bo kind and considerate to others. The Girl Scout learns how to live in the open, and to build a fire and oook with little or no equipment. She learns first aid. Tho Girl Scouts in Ignacio were organized the first part of this year undor the direction of Miss Patricia Orr Miss Loida Burgess, and now have seventeon girls who have passed their tenderfoot roquiroaents.A nuaber have now stwted their second class requirements. JUNIOR PLAY The Junior Class presented their play on December 9. Introducin' Susan by Jay Tobiic is the mixiest of all farces. Dick Heather-by gets into plenty of trouble with three characters, (one of them a. man) posing a his wife, but when his real wife shows up at the inopportune tine, things really start to pop. Violet, the butlor-loving cook, and her prize-fighter brother pull a lot of laughs, as did the rest of the cast.
