' I Ronald Bruce, Editor-In-Chief of THE BENGAL, I.S.U.'s weekly news- paper, accomplished a difficult task, but with efficiency and adeptness .that is seldom surpassed. Fairness and equal coverage were main concerns to Bruce, and his dynamic methods led him to experiment with the tabloid format, inserts from other college papers, and other interesting features. BENGAL staffers are chosen by submitting applications to the I.S.U. Communications Board, which sifts through the applicants and comes up with a Well-qualified staff. The editor, who is also appointed by the Board, may also recom- mend potential staff members, and the Board usually com- plies. Most of the staffers are journalism majors, but it is not a requirement for staff membership.
