F. yearbook was entrusted to the creative writing class, under the supervision of Vivienne Mosher. ln order to meet the first deadline in january, work on the annual was begun early in the fall. The annual staff was also responsible for the edition of the I. F. handbook. Two juniors, Raymond Ben- nett and Jackie Ritchie worked with the staff. 22

All girls of the high school are members of the Girls' Federation. They finance the various activities of the organization by selling candy and gum. The G. F. advances loans to girls who wish to further their education. The various undertakings of the organization this year were: sponsoring of the Poster Pallateersf' decoration of the school Christmas tree, donating to the Goodfellow Christmas fund, crowning of the football and carnival queens, planning the all girl school party, and decorating the library. Annual dances sponsored by the G. F. were the Hens' Hop in the fall and the formal Commencement Dance in the spring. HHHWIUN HIE EIS From the first day of school this club is very busy playing Big Sister to all new girls of the high school. Three new members were initiated at an impressive candlelight service last fall. After the outbreak of war, club members began purchasing defense stamps with a view toward buying a bond. Annually the Big Sisses entertain freshman girls at a spring tea to acquaint them with new surroundings. Peterson Vera Anderson Charles Hullett Darrel Nielsen A special group noted for their journalistic ability was selected by W. C. Cherrington, instructor of the jour nalism class. These budding journalists edited a six-page school newspaper bi-Weekly: Each month a rotogravure section portraying high school life in the United States Was added. The Christmas present of the staff to the high school student body was an eight-page edition in appropriate Christmas green. 23
