ETUUENT EUUHT The judicial branch of government is known as the Student Court. The judge, clerk and prosecuting attor- ney are elected each fall. Student law breakers are brought before this group for trial, and a jury decides the verdict. The judge, Gareth Homer, prosecuting attorney, Douglas Bush, attorney for defense, Dale Nielsen, clerk, Maurine Olson. STUDENT EUHNEH The Student Council, a group of representatives chosen each semester by the home rooms, acts in a legislative capacity. The council meets three days a week under the direction of Mr. Berry, to discuss issues that pertain to school functions. The representatives report decisions to their respective home rooms and lead discussions during home room meetings which convene weekly. Each class chooses two teachers as sponsors. The sponsors this year for the seniors were Miss Stewart and Mr. Charles Crowleyg for the juniors, Mr. Pratt and Mrs. Marting for the sophomores, Mr. Benfer and Miss Keenan. I9 BETTY CRAOOS.

All girls of the high school are members of the Girls' Federation. They finance the various activities of the organization by selling candy and gum. The G. F. advances loans to girls who wish to further their education. The various undertakings of the organization this year were: sponsoring of the Poster Pallateersf' decoration of the school Christmas tree, donating to the Goodfellow Christmas fund, crowning of the football and carnival queens, planning the all girl school party, and decorating the library. Annual dances sponsored by the G. F. were the Hens' Hop in the fall and the formal Commencement Dance in the spring. HHHWIUN HIE EIS From the first day of school this club is very busy playing Big Sister to all new girls of the high school. Three new members were initiated at an impressive candlelight service last fall. After the outbreak of war, club members began purchasing defense stamps with a view toward buying a bond. Annually the Big Sisses entertain freshman girls at a spring tea to acquaint them with new surroundings.
