I-2- Y.F.C. 2- Library Club Chess Club L'M.S'.S' PROPllR'.V The mayor of Ida, CHARLES ROSWURM, has declared that a census be taken of all the people living in Ida in the year of I959. Mayor Roswurm wants to compare the population of T959 to this year I969. This will give us the opportunity to see what our fellow students have been doing since we last saw them ten years ago. Let's take a walk through the thriving metropolis of Ida and see what's going on. Look at all the people pouring into Lee's Hotel owned and operated by ED LEE. He sure is getting a lot of business. We see in the lobby the Bell Hop, WAYNE SMITH, and the maid, SHARON DIROFF, rushing around trying to get everyone set- tled. The first to arrive is JOE ALLOR, the owner ofthe Alley Cat Armory, with one of his dance instructors, PHYLLIS TORPEY. We hear that they have pupils com- ing in from all parts of the country. In the hotel lobby we see that the switchboard operator, GERALDINE BOLSTER, is taking a call for a room reservation from SHIRLEY KILGUS and EILEEN OTT For the weekend. Shirley and Eileen will be traveling here by way of helicopter. Who's that arriving in Bermuda shorts and Jungle Bunny hat? We soon find out it's DORIS KREPS, iust returning from her missionary trip in Africa. Downtown we see JANICE BERTA is going into NORENE CAIRL'S Beauty Nook to get her hair fixed. Norene has competition because iust down the street SHARON LOWRY also has a beauty shop and Sharon has BARBARA VERDON working for her. Barbara has become well known for hair dyes--lavendar, olive green, blazing orange, and especially fire engine red. As we walk by Grubers store, we see the new mana- gers, DOUGLAS SELFE and DALE BASTIAN. Why I can remember when they were only errand and carry-out boys. That's what I call startinq from the bottom. As we are waiting to cross the street, LARRY KNAPP and DON SMITH turn the corner with a load of produce from their own farms. They both are winners of ribbons for raising the largest coconuts. Back at the hotel more guests are arriving. Entering the lobby is LILLIAN GU- BALA, the former Miss America. ARTHUR HARDWICK, her chauffer, is carrying in her bags. Stepping out of one of the cabs owned by DAVID DENNIS is MARILYN DIETZEL iust returning from her engagement at Carnegie Hall. We see SHIRLEY NESS and her husband discussing some of SANDY NOTARlO'S advertising posters they saw on their way here. Sandy is doing great in the advertising business. Coming up the street are MARY GEYMAN and SHARON OBERSKI in their smart looking uniforms of the WAFS, They sure get plenty of attention wherever they go. Well, look at the name on that mailbox. Mr. 8. Mrs. MICKEY MAYHUGH. Mrs. Mayhugh was the former OPAL WALTERS, I see a few little Mayhugh's running around in the back yard, too. Next door Mr. 8. Mrs. JOHN VIDOLICH, the former LOIS PERNIA, are having dinner at TOM PERNlA'S house. Tom is her brother and they are going to discuss some monkey business in which Tom and John are partners. There goes JEANINE COLWELL and GLORIA SPRINKLE into the Manbou Night Club owned by MARY ANN BOWMAN to see TRUDY CAPAUL, better known as Little LuIu, sing her latest smash hit Mary Had a Little Lamb. Also seen there is MAR- GARET KNAPP and her manager COLEEN BREITNER, Margaret has a iob on the Steve Allen Show as the Woman on the Street. She doesn't do much but she sure makes the money. As we walk further down the street we pass KATHLEEN MERCE in her white starch uniform. She seems to be in a hurry. She tells us JERRY COWAN, the great football player, is recovering from a stubbed toe that he got in the Cereal Bowl. Also seen in Ida is JANET DOTY, Secretary to the Embassador of France. We hear that she has been trying to persuade France to let us have B.B. L'M.S'.S' PR0PllEL'.V 60N '71 ALLEN JOHNSON'S Restaurant is iust up the street. Let's go in and see who's there. As we sit down, who comes over to take our order but SUSAN FIRESTONE. As we look around, who do we see but that famous clothes designer for men, DAVID CRABTREE, wearing one of his original combinations, a pink shirt with purple polka dots and orange pants. He is reading the Vi Weekly edited by VIOLET HOLTZ. There is a very interesting article on the front page about Commodore LOU FISCHER who made a spectacular rescue of a cat that fell overboard. Also seen there are Mr. 8. Mrs. KAYE DON SORTER. Mrs. Sorter was formerly JUDY KNUDSON. They have just returned from their summer vacation in Anartica. As we are paying our check, we hear an enormous crash. Hurrying outside we see that CORKY LEAPER has done it again. By now he should have enough parts to start his own iunk pile for he iust added another car to his collection. One of the onlookers is BILL FANNING. He has been very successful in his fathers' shoes as the President of Fannings' Soil Ser- vice. Bill is now going over to talk to his old buddies JIM HICKS and BILL EIGH- MEY. As we walk by, we hear that Jim is entered in the Olympic Games which are to be held next month and that Bill has his name in lights, for he is starring in a new hit comedy, Peanut Butter. We've seen most of Ida, now let's catch a taxi and see the country. Here comes one, oh no, CAROL BUSSELL is driving, it's too late to back out now, well maybe we'll make it O.K. She asks our destination, we tell her to show us the interesting sights around the outskirts of Ida. The first place she takes us to see is LARRY JONES and MARVIN YARGER. They own and operate the Jones 8.Yarger Dragstrip of inter- national fame. They're the ones who broke the Annapolis Speedway record last month. I wonder how that happened. Next CAROL takes us to see ELVIN BLACK, KELLY KELEMEN, BOB WINKLEMEN and DAVID BLOUNT. She tells us they own a Goof- Off Shop and that they can tell you a million and one ways to get into trouble. They have also become Famous as the characters of Boys Do the Darnest Thinqi written by Art Clinkletter. As we continue on our tour, we see a sign reading Bamm's Cus- tomized Crates over a car lot and who's the owner? None other than DARRYL BAMM, Across the road we see a lovely house. We are told that this is where JOANNE VER- DON lives. Joanne has now taken on the last name of Horvath. We decided to go in and visit them and we see that they are spending a quiet evening at home watching Maverick. Well can you guess who is Bret and Bart's mother? You're right, JENNIE MAGEE, Mamma Maverick. As we are traveling back to Ida we see a sign reading Gross Road. We are told that Norman Gross was given this little strip of road between his house and his girls because he went over it so much. L'lll6'.5' PROPllEL'7 60N 'Z We are back in lda again and in the hotel lobby we see MRS. BARRON, MR. MECK, and MR, REISSER standing in the corner reminiscing over old times. MRS, BARRON must know the source of the Fountain of Youth for she still looks as young as she did I0 years ago. Her taste for clothing is still as impeccable as it was before, for she is right in style. She reminds us of a real life, size doll. Her husband cer- tainly is a lucky man. MR. REISSER certainly hasn't changed much. He has that same hair cut, those penetrating eyes, and that slow forthcoming smile, and he's wear- ing his tennis shoes, khaki pants, and sweat shirt. Yes, that's MR. REISSER alright. My goodness is that MR. MECK? He looks like a new man. He's been on a Gain Weight and Muscles in 60 Days Treatment. Look at all those musclesl As we recall, we have seen the whole Class of 59 . As we predicted ten years ago they have all become famous in their own ways. We are going to leave them now and go to help Mayor ROSSWURM with his census. WM 62455 Will We, the class of I959, in the town of Ida, the county of Monroe, and the State of Michigan, being of sound and disposing mind and memory and about to pass out of existence, do make, ublish, and declare this our last will and testa- ment, hereby revoking any and alnl former wills by us at this time heretofore made. And in this manner do we dispose of our possessions. I, JOE ALLOR, bequeath my ability of having good grades in government to Joe English. I, DARRYL BAMM, bequeath my forty-six ford convertible back to Ed Reynolds, so that he can try to beat me again. I, DALE BASTIAN, bequeath my blonde hair to Jim Sancrant.
