DEDICATION 5 Q- We, the students of Ida, are proud to acknowledge the free- doms and liberties that we possess as citizens of the United States. Many of us do not realize the long and hard suffer- ings of our ancestors to gain this independence which we now take so much for granted. We do not realize the many bat- tles, the hardships, and the great decisions that they faced in order that their posterity might live in a land that was free. On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Inde- pendence was signed and from that day forward we have re- garded it as the foundation of our country. As a great reminder to us we have in Independence Hall at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Liberty Bell which is a symbol of those things that we hold most dear. For these reasons we are proud to dedicate this book to our most prized possession, liberty.
