ELEMENTRY BAND 1953 was the first year for an extensive program of instrumental music in the elementary grades. 1954 saw an enlargement of this program with the formation of the Cadet or Elementary Band. Ida now boasts of two elemen- tary bands-the Cadet and the Junior. These bands are but training organizations with the ultimate goal being the Senior Band and the uniform that goes with it. Only through the efforts of the students in the Cadet and Junior Bands can we have a superior Senior Band. All instrumental music in the elementary grades and the high school is directed by Mr. Frank Wilson. JUNIOR BAND Q sl'
