Bebtcatton At the time that the Class of 1971 entered Ichabod Crane, a new teacher started to work in the English Depart- ment. Since then her classes have been a joy to us. We have learned to temper determination with humor, dedica- tion with friendliness, and judgment with compassion. She commands our respect as a great teacher and our love as a dear friend who has always been ready to champion our cause when we have needed her help.
