THE LEGEND presented by The Class of 1958 the ICHABOD CRANfc CENTRAL SCHOOL 1956 Creat winds have purposes, others HAVE WISHES LITTLE WINDS ARE TAMED AND SLBDLED BY MISFORTUNE. Bl AAINDS RISE ABOVE THEM. Washington Ipvinc GREAT This year at Ichabod Crane Central School has greatly enriched our life. However, as we look back over this memorable year, wc will remember not the modern new school with its brightly colored classrooms. Instead, we will recall among our fondest memories, the mad dash to the cafeteria, die endless halls to travel ir three minutes, the late bus and die lines at the fountains in spriflj;. Though our activities and interests change with the sea- sons, all together they combine to make a year we will never forget. We invite you to meet our faculty, our friends and our fellow students as you pass through these pages which represent our senior year at Ichabod Crane. Our very first day in school. The late bus and its regular riders. 24 The day we made hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs) without a hood. How hot Regents week always seemed to be. 25 26 Basketball VARISTY PLAYERS in V FORMATION, LEFT to RIGHT: D. Banovic, P. Snyder, R. Peduzzi, W. Brough, P Tuczvn- Rybka’ C Bailey R' BriS8s J. Krebs. Students’ Voice Paper Meets Deadline The business staff of the Students' Voice announced today that, after months of trying, the impossible has been accomplished. The current issue of the paper was printed and distributed on time. This was done through the cooperation of all the staffs. The reporters assembled the material and wrote their articles in record time. The typing staff gave up their usual soda breaks and listening to Leon's radio in order to complete the dummy sheets and stencils on schedule. Not to be out- done, the art staff stayed until all hours of the nigfit to get the art work finished. The production staff used up three staples and wore a permanent path around the table, upon which the separate pages were piled, while assembling the paper. Thanks go to these staffs for their superior co- operation. The Students' Voice regrets the loss of Mrs. Van Buren and Miss King, our advisors, who are currently undergoing treatment for shock. 34 Nor Chaperones at the Senior Ball 36 In spring a young man's fancy turns to thoughtS _baSc tion . . .
