M x Ill Now begins the work on the MoUNTA1NmER. A We have all noticed the frequent visits Mr. Swain takes to the library. Of course it's Miss Haire, because there is nothing else interesting there. Literary Society organized, also, report cards for the first six weeks. Oh! the results. No school today, for the teachers have gone to the Round Table at Bluefield. A new business arithmetic teacher today, because Mr. Kuder went to Clarksburg. ' Civil war between the students of the English Literature over Dr. Faustus. NOVEMBER : Election Day and no school. Dr. Faustus lost his honor in English Lit. Job, with his patience took his place. Everyone looking forward to the game with Kermit tomorrow. Disappointment. The Photographer did not come. Armistice Day. Chapel in honor of the unknown soldiers. The first Literary Program of the year was given. A very interesting talk was given by Mr. Ballard. We don't know whether romances start the quickest among the stu- dents or the teachers. Miss Smith and Mr. Shepherd are seen to- gether frequently. Less Blevins made a flying trip to War to get her new tooth. Many thanks were given to the Junior Class for the party. A new star was added to the football team: Kenneth Overby. The Photographer arrived at last. Game with Mann. DECEMBER : A great surprise for the Seniors. The rings and pins arrived. Basket-ball has now taken the place of football. A successful year is prophesied. ' I Rather a little excitement today: Proof of the pictures arrived. A new Senior was added to the class. t The NEW BOY distinguishes himself in Business Arithmetic.
