-K -A--I,- D lu l 'I ....-X , --Q.: I MOUNTAINEEII I 0 MY , R XAN Xf- 1 E 1? . . h Jumor Class H1StOIY I . it 'MX 4: N September the third, nineteen hundred and twenty-four, we, the Freshman Class, A -I X X' ' 4 ' started out on a long voyage. There were quite a number of us to start with, and X Q X I X Rig! X' as we went along we picked up several more friends to join our band. Among 1 X3 X. our new friends were Francis Kennedy and Kenneth Overby. We also lost some X I 'X of our band who were too far ahead to bother with the Little Freshmen. 1 4 ' On our voyage we met some very different people to deal with, such as Algebra and X XX Science. They were very good to us for awhile, but after we had known them for two or 1 ' three months they became very hard for ns to manage. X J, While 'on this voyage we came to a small town which had a large Basket-ball court. X in Some of our girls and boys went out to show their skill in Basket-ball. Two of our girls ' l made first team. Everything went on very smoothly until we came to an Island called ,dbg Exams, and there the fight begun. A FN The following year on September the sixth, the same band started and as Sophomores. X X This time our crew was still large. We went to the same place on our voyage that wc did , the previous year. This time we met some people who were liked very much better than -,I the ones we met the year before. These people were Biology and History. They liked us I believe from the start for we never had very much trouble with them. 1 - Again this year we came to the town where the Basket-ball court was. Our girls again represented Iaeger High School very highly with their athletic abilities. After Basket-ball X was over we started out again on our voyage and each day we were getting nearer the town of Exams, which we are never interested in. Nevertheless, we managed to get by this island ' f safely. I The following year we started out again as Juniors. You see we like these voyages even though we do meet several difficult people to deal with for this has been our third year tak- ' ing these voyages. We had the same crew this time except Kenneth Overby and he became -il too bright for us. Therefore he went with a bunch called Seniors. X X ' This year along about November we came to a very beautiful Island. VVe decided this N Z i h i would be the very place for our party, and celebrated the Junior Class. We decided to give i 3. the party and invite all the football players of the Island. A .' I i-i We went on and on until we came to the same island, where for the past two years our Qi boys and girls had been playing Basket-ball. These people liked our girls so well they elected iii. one of our girls, Marie Pasley, Captain of the team. This time we met ispmegyery disagreeable people, who treated us worse than in all of ll!!i' 1 our three voyages. These ilidple were Geometry and English Literature, and Chemistry. In 1 5 spite qgflthis we enjoyed our trip and are planning on going back next year. Q ' . . i f M. Q Mauna Simi-Jvas, '28. X 1 i l ? I I . 3 E 2 3 - ' l 1 x ' . . l if il ' 3 ji.
