Senior Class Prophecy :lf 'lip FTER having finished my four years' NLOAFH at Iaeger High School ,I 1,1 which was of no value to me, but gave my parents a good lesson in il ' ' generosity, I found that I did not want further educat.ion. Being obsessed with a desire to travel perhaps heredity from so much journeying in that vehicle which conducted me to and from schoolj. I was overcome by this desire and my travels began. Now in the year 1930 my wanderings have carried me into many strange lands and ports, my eyes have beheld many strange, yet beautiful sights. However, it was in India, that strange country of gruesome images and wonders that this unbelievable yet true experience was mine. After arriving in one of the large cities I decided to go sight-seeing. My tour over the city was almost completed when my eyes beheld this sign OTTO the Master Magician. Thinking of course, that this was a fake, but filled with curiosity I entered and was conducted to his presence. He was dressed in flowing robes, a heavy beard covered his face, yet his eyes seemed to burn into my soul. I told him I wanted to know how fate had dealt with my old classmates. I was asked to gaze into a large transparent crystal which was placed before me. Bending intently over the crystal he spoke a few magic words and wonder of wonders I beheld the image of each of my old friends and erst-while class- mates. My eyes first beheld a great crowd waiting expectantly while the curtain began to rise, to my surprise I beheld Richard Kennedy, Kenneth Overby and Walter Day march majestically out on the stage. Here I saw three of my old classmates in a musical role. THE WONDER TRIO. As this vision vanished another appeared instantly. What? I cried. Yes, it is Less Blevins. My old classma.te the artist, sitting on Bradshaw Mountain waiting for the moon to rise or probably she is looking for the planet UMARSX' The next to appear was Mildred Marshall who had won fame and fortune as an interior decorator. Thelma Scott and Genevieve Dice, I beheld as the champion marathon runners, perhaps their training in Iaeger High School being partly responsible. Wondering the fate of Skipper Ellis, when suddenly he appeared before me and I found that he has been acclaimed the world's GREATEST CRIMINAL LAWYER. 28 -,., .... . ,,,.Y ,,--.., , ,-, ,, , , V , u - u. nano f'f'fi7QI A SQL' l-fill it El ri' S All 1' sb 2 3? rn fs' f A17 lil I xl '50 I v a l 1 ! Her success being very apparent as she is now president of a y great business school in England. t Then I saw Irvin Dunn who had succeeded Dryden, as the world's greatest satirist. ' - Then Harry Pauley as a second RED GRANGE. This recalled the day at Iaeger High School, when Harry bucked the line. Another vision-another athlete-Blanche Sebastain. Head basket-ball coach of a great Southern college. Basket-ball was her name engraved in the Hall of Fame. t As the fire was burning low in the crystal ball I could hardly discern the next image. It was Myrtle Scott, now assistant principal at Iaeger High School and instructor in Commercial Arithmetic. I recalled the days when Mr. Kuder ruled with an Iron Hand. One flash and I beheld Clarence Bradberry instructor in Mathematics at A Yale University. A 4- The vision disappeared-I wished to see my fate-but alas-it is too late, I .Y the fire was gone-no, a tiny spark-my image-a man beside me, rolling lands -+- o cows, horses, lbarns, a home in Texas, the last spark is gone.
