LAFA Y ETT E WILLIAMS Some men are born great, others achieve greatness, some have greatness thrust upon them. ----Shakespeare For many years, those of us associated with I.M. Terrell High School have had the privilege of knowing a man who truly possesses an innate greatness . That man is Mr. Lafayette B. Williams. During his years at Terrell, he has accomplished not only the task of being a great administrator, but also a great friend, counselor, and teacher. Students think of him with the respect and love that only a man of his caliber can receive. His sound advice, his stern discipline, and his clear-cut definition of right and wrong have always been a guiding light. He has been a constant source of inspiration and guidance to the student body. No problem has been too small to discuss, and no task, too difficult to tackle. In all situations he has been found capable of making positive contributions. This dedication is but an humble effort to show our appreciation for his thirty- seven years of diligent work, for his noble efforts and untiring devotion to the cause of keeping high the standards 'of I.M. Terrell High School. With a deep sense of humility and genuine affection for one who has proved himself to be a real friend to youth, the Journalism Class dedicates the 1966 Panther to Mr. Lafayette B. Williams. f

GREETINGS The other members of our faculty join me in this special greeting to our parents, alumni and friends of I.M. Terrell Jr. -Sr. High School. We are mind- ful of the tremendous responsibilities that we have as teachers and parents in training our youth. It is our task to guide, lead, and motivate them to higher goals of achievement. This is a period for our children to plan for the present and future. Once in a lifetime will they enjoy these opportunities. Exploits in Science and Technology point the way to a glorious future for those who are prepared. Education is the key to this future. You are cordially invited to visit the school at any time.
