Melvin Jennings - Senior Class President As we gaze retrospectively toward our past achievements, we often think on the question--What advancements and ideas have We acquired in the past which will enhance our future prospects for success? Those of us who have struggled through temptations, failures and heartaches, and have emerged with heads bloody but unbowed--displaying that persistent attitude, that uncontainable urge to stick it out and to win--can truthfully say our past progress renders us more than ready for the untold myster- ies of the future. If for some of us the past has been a series of blunders and an occa- sional veering toward the Wrong track, We need not despair of the future. A person who is Willing to elevate himself will and can do so through hard Work, determination, and common sense. What the future holds for us, no one knows. But by preparing our- selves through the enrichment of our past knowledge We give some as- surance to ourselves that We have great possibilities of future success.
