7 Foreword In a time of human conflict that characterizes idealogy against idealogy; igno- rance against enlightment and fabrication against truth, the graduates of 1960-61 have undertaken a tremendous responsibility as they go into the world hoping that they will be able to alleviate some of its conditions. The graduates should realize that such a task could not be accomplished without education, because it is the key to all endeavors. We must strive to develop our poten- tials to their fullest extent and by so doing equip ourselves for the work ahead. Wher- ever great minds have penetrated, the results have been progress. All of us as gradu- ates must be cognizant of the fact that the purpose of education is not only to develop our minds, but to instill within our being a modified behavior. While at Norcom, the graduates had at their disposal many avenues of human motivation and should approach their tasks with vigorous anticipation, in hope that their campaign will be a victorious one. The yearbook staff has worked diligently to produce this yearbook. It is but our h ope that it will be interesting as well as intellectual. The time will come when all of us will want to recapture the memories and activ- ities that comprised our high school life. In a moment of solitude, we shall relinquish our thoughts of the present and turn our thoughts upon the past. This yearbook is so arranged to give a more vivid picture of past events. 2
