was our yearbook, the Hornet, which was an improvement over last year's and required hard work to accomplish. All of these activities through our high school years are toward our goal-- our New York trip at the end of our Senior year. This year we have neither gained nor lost classmates. If the remaining forty-one students all graduate, it will be the largest graduating class in Hyndman Hi gh School. So we bid farewell to all our friends and look to the future with high hopes. 39

last Will and Testament The SENIOR CLASS of 1955, now in a state of comatose and about to pass into the realm of obscurity and demise doth hereby make and set forth this final documentary scroll in recognition of the necessary disposal of its physical assets and attributes and to make known the transmis- sion of its various assortments, donations, and grants to the individual recipients as befitting them. All such benevolences are made in a sound, compromising, and disposing mind and the aforesaid soon-decedent doth hereby revoke and declare void all previous bestowals that have, perhaps, been made in a less thoughtful light. We, the Class of 1955, do now proclaim this final judgment to be our LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT and, which must, without recourse be sanctioned with just and upright confirma- tion. This over-all grant to be filtered and permeated to all corners of this school system, so that, it mayhap reach the appropriate donees and as such, is made a necessary requisite so that all future classes might gain some modicum of' educational adjustment to wit: RUTH ABERLE wills to GERTRUDE BEALS a carefully worded suggestion that she use wisely a tendency to gossip. GARY BAKER will exchange with ROBERT SI-IROYER his stubbornness for a portion of the latter's desire to improve his education. MELVIN BOORE donates freely to NILS JOHANNESSEN the ability of falling in and out of love successfully. JUDITH BOWERS offers to MAXINE BURKETT her method of subdued and polite understand- ing without reverting to caustic remarks. JOYCE BRUNER gives up to JOYCE SHOUP her class co-operation to be used with a mini- mum of complaining by the latter. DARLENE COOK consigns to any JUNIOR girl her amazing recovery from a pessimist to an optimist. ROSE MARIE COOK'S unrestrained giggling is deposited into any available escape-proof receptacle. BEVERLY DIEHL'S pouting spells are assigned to LAVERNE IMLER to be filtered into a more congenial nature. GERALD EMMERICK grants to GEORGE DENNISON his sneaky approach in the affairs of the heart. WARREN GEISLER presents to FREEMAN MILLER his athletic build. CAROLE HARCLERODE relinquishes to DONA SI-IAFFER the remaining gasoline in the fam- ily car for the purpose of getting where she is going. JANE I-IOLLER surrenders, without recourse, her job'as class treasurer to ALICE SHAF- FER. BRONYA I-lOLTZ'S unchanging good nature is assigned to FAIRY MILLER. SANDRA HOLTZ unburdens herself of an outspoken nature to SARA ANN CHRISTNER hoping that said donation might be softened. RICHARD I-lORNER'S listlessness in all things educational is committed to that of HOWARD SHAFFER'S hoping that said union may drop dead. JANET HYATT bequeaths to JANE PFEIFFER a wee portion of zip in exchange for some of the latter's timidness. DELORIS MALLOW hands over to NAOMI DENEEN her secretive nature and hidden talents. KAY MANGES will pledge her gossipy nature for a portion of HANNAI-l DENNISON'S sup- pressed desires. RAY MARTZ will transmit to CHARLES HYRE the secret of being devilishly cute and still he angelic.
