) ATRIOTIC [DD ROGRAM An annual event at Hyles-Ander- son College is the Patriotic Program. This program is directed at inspiring a fervor and patriotism for the coun- try in which we live. With a compila- tion of skits, songs, and dramatic readings, the students are exhorted and challenged to be thankful for this great country of ours. This pro- gram is directed by Mrs. Evans and is done in large part by the Speech Class. Above: The climax to the first segment of the program: a flag waving celebration for each state of the Union created massive crowd par- ticipation. Left: The Gettysburg Address by Abraham Lincoln stirred the crowd to remem- brance of prices that have been paid. Activities — 201

A SPECIAL “THANKS” TO FOLKS WHO SERVE The Security Department is responsible for protecting all the ministries of the First Baptist Church of Hammond. This provides an excellent opportunity for many students to work their way through college. The long hours put in by the security force are appreciated by the entire church and college family.
