Due to the fact that Hyles-Anderson students were visiting on bus routes and heavily involved in the Spring Program on Easter Sunday, Dr. Hyles decided to do a very special thing this year, and that was to have Easter Sunday on a Wednesday at Hyles-Anderson College. This day was complete with an Easter service in the chapel. The chapel was set up exactly as an Easter Sunday ser- vice at the First Baptist Church. This included two specials, standing for the reading of the Scriptures, and even Kas- ter lilies in front of the auditorium. After the chapel service, the students went over to the dining hall where a giant turkey dinner was served. This included turkey and dressing, yams with marshmallows, and a large piece of pumpkin pie. After the meal was over there was a giant Easter egg hunt with five thousand Easter eggs scattered across the campus by faculty and staff. The students were allowed to go out and find as many eggs as they possibly could, and then were able to redeem these eggs for $1 each in either Liberty Square or in Peddler’s Way. Right: Dr. Hyles stayed in the dining hall during the entire meal and afterwards shook hands and had his picture taken with as many students who cared to stop by. He gave each girl $20 to buy a new Easter dress.

Right: The first thought that comes to mind when one thinks of dating at Hyles-Anderson College is the lobby. For it is to the lobby that couples migrate like geese heading south for the winter.
