ALENTINE BANQUET The social highlight of each college year is the Valentine Banquet. It is the biggest “dress-up” occasion for the en- tire school year. Right: Dr. Hyles stayed in the dining hall during the entire meal and afterwards shook hands and had his picture taken with as many students who cared to stop by. Below: Dr. Hyles brought a special ser- mon on our “Easter on Wednesday. tom left: Many married students brought their families out for the special meal. It was a tremendous opportunity for them to get a huge turkey dinner for only $1 a per- son. Bottom right: Many young ladies wore new dresses that Dr. Hyles paid for. He gave each girl $20 to buy a new Easter dress.
