SECURITY GUARDS SERVE! Hyles-Anderson’s Security Department has a unique duty. Their job is to prevent problems and to take care of emergencies. They have done their job well. All of the guards have had police train- ing and three are currently part-time policemen. They direct traffic, escort guests, man the Information Desk at night, and a variety of other duties. Many students do not realize that while they are asleep, security guards are checking the entrances, pa- trolling the halls, and watch- ing the grounds to keep the campus secure. The guards check the main campus, the Baptist City campus, and many of the buildings owned by the First Baptist Church.
