Many weeks and months of planning and preparation go into the Annual Pastors’ School. During this time First Baptist Church opens her doors to America and invites her to share in the methods and means that First Baptist has successfully used. Many hundreds of successful preachers point to a time when a pastors’ school has changed their ministry. ne eg 14 oaStoRs' SCHOOL | Workers spend hours in preparation for the opening day. A tired group of registration angels file in for the opening evening service. College students dressed as devils try to keep folks away or tell them not to heed any new ideas or methods. Evening Services | Challenge Many Monday night “The Church with a Heart” was presented. During this service the various ministries of First Baptist Church are shown. Each time a new group was added they joined with the previous group for the chorus of “Oh, How I Love Jesus.” Here we have the deaf and the rescue mission men. Tuesday evening the church choir enhanced the service with their patriotic medley and their red, white, and blue attire. Dr. Hyles preached his message of challenge to pastors to reach America for God by reaching their towns and cities. Thursday evening the Hyles-Anderson choir performed the “Messiah” and then the Backwood Brothers Quartet sang a special number.
