Stange,B1lly G Lee,Joe Thomason,B1ll Be1l,Pat Hasoner, Carl 7 8 Q x Robert Hammons C 3FTn30g, Front row Herman sntz,T0m Byrum,Benny Foreman,Dale Yearwood 0 u Frank Roman,Paul Ab1e,w1lbur Pankratz,Buddy Raetz,Bob Utley The Vocational Agrlculture students p1ctured above have been for tunate this year by hav1ng the pr1v1lege of movlng into what is con sidered the most modernlstlc FFA buildlng in the entire state When fully equipped lt w1ll provide all necessary facilit1es to carry on the operatlons of an actlve FFA Chapter The farm shop will be used for maklng wood and metal appliances and farm machlnery repair The laboratory will be used for so1ls,m1lk and seed testing, seed germina tlon, storage and general laboratory work The bu1ld1ng also provides a regular class room, Off1C6,tOO1 room, lavoratory and llvestock wash 1ng groomlng rack The chapter has particlpated 1n National competltlon at the Nat 1onal Barrow Show at Austin,M1nnesota, The Amer1can Royal Show at Kan sas City,Mo ,The Southwestern Livestock Show and Exposit1on,Ft Worth, Texas, and local shows and fairs at Hydro, Anadarko, Tulsa, and Okla homa C1ty A total of S2 325 OO has been won ln prize money at these shows and many dlfferent k1nds of rlbbons have been added to our col lect1on The hlgh llght of the year was the Wlnnlng of the Grand Cham P1OH pen of ten barrows at the Ft Worth show wh1ch sold for good pri ces and paid S75 OO 1n pr1ze money Dale Randolph, 1950 51 FFA president, was awarded the Jr Master Farmer Degree at Stillwater, Oklahoma, April 26 This 18 the highest Degree that can be received from the State FFA association One of our top members, Roy Folsom,Jr , was granted the American Farmer Degree in Kansas City, Mo , at the National F F A convention This honor is the highest that can be awarded by the National Future Farmer of America Associatlon The Chapter, IR cooperation with the F H A department, operated a hamburger stand at the local fair and was instrumental in helping sponsor the District fall f ir and the local spring show The group also made purchase of the new 1950 model Ford plck up, wh1ch has been in operat1on during th1s year Space w1ll not permit listing the many m1nor actlvities engaged in during this school term
