Yes, the dlgnifled Seniors of 1951 are graduatlng This will be a terr1ble loss to the Hydro School and although we are very glad we are graduating, we know that no other class w1ll ever enter the door of thls school that wlll be remembered as ours wmll be Of the 32 youngsters who entered school September L, 1939, only 9 have completed the long struggle to graduate 1U the class of 'Sl Those students who began and f1n1shed thelr school work here are Major Sples, Gene K1dd, Gene Bar ber, Ela1ne Elwood, Esther Shlpp, Beth Sl mp, Kay Staples, W1HSt0D weathers, and Keith Wells Durlnv our twelve years some members left and others came In the second grade flve members were added to our class They were Wanda Sutton, Leon Gregg, Anlta Nlckel, Homer Byrum, and J R Entz I the thlrd grade Dale Randolph came In the fourth, flfth, and sixth grades Wayland Sweeney, Rex Denham, Nolan Roman, And Opal Tinsley Our seventh year we were very lonesome because that was the only year we d1dn't have any newcomers to our class In the elvhth grade we had a slngle entry,B1ll Gene Lee when the long awalted Hlgh School days came,we had a new member every year They were Vlola waters, Wllda Mason Loulse Brehm, and Merle Hart, respectlvely Durlng our Junlor year we presented the play, WDemon ln the Dark U Also durlng that year we took the Senlors of '50 on a short tr1p to Sprlng Lake Now we have flnally reached the last and best year of al Some members of our class have been actlve ln school act1v1t1es Major Sples, Wayland Sweeney, Leon Gregg, Gene Barber, Rex Denham, Kay Stables, Gene Kidd, Merle Hart and ers Next year the band w1ll suffer a great loss of Wanda Sutton, Anlta Nlckel, Kay Staples, Gene Kldd, Elalne Elwood and Nolan Roman All of our members have been actlve 1n FHA, FFA and other organlzations Outstandlnv events durlnv the busy year were Senlor Day Jr Q Sr Trlp, and the Senlor Play,NB1ll's Nlght Out H Wlth all of our activitles and trylng to graduate there has not been a dull moment Mr Hollls Ward 13 Dennison Duke, Jr , our mascot Our Senlor class flower, a r d rv Our our Senlor soonsor and Mr and Mrs class parents Dlanne Duke 13 our colors are Navy Blue and Whlte, our motto is 'Forward ' Davld Betche was honored bv belnv Valedlctorlan, and Anlta Nlckel, Salutatorlan ' ' . . . n l.
