Ure 611155 of 1948 with feelings of pleasure and gratqication, dedicates this yearbook to the four former teachers whose pictures appear on these pages: Miss Anna M. Doyle, Miss Agnes K. Brennan, Mr. Morton I-I. Cassidy, and Mr. john S. Donoghue. Within the past two years the school has been honored because these teachers, having attained first places on competitive lists, have been selected to assume higher executive positions in the managing of the Boston schools. The particular position of each of these honored and beloved teachers is listed elsewhere in this dedicatory section. The qualities that endeared them to us when they taught within these walls were the same qualities that secured for them recognition that their services were of superior order and that greater responsibilities should be entrusted to them. We rejoice with them in their new honors and feel that the school can well par- ticipate in their new prestige. We do, indeed, regret the necessity that takes them from us, knowing that their separationfrom us is a distinct loss to the school. However, we know that all things move, nothing stands still, and even as we Seniors depart from the school, we say to them and to all our other teachers, Good bye, good luck, and Godspeed! ANNA M.
