You have earned a great honor in being awarded a diploma from Hyde Park. You have joined the thousands of alumni who have always, and still do, proclaim Hyde Park the school of true scholarship. You were fortunate to have had the privilege of sitting before her great teachers and to have had the opportunity to associate with boys and girls who appreciate the finer things of life and make the most of them. As this school year draws to a close, reeall the pleasant memories and the happy events of your four years. Football, basketball, and baseball games, the Hydeparker show, the Senior Varie- ties, the Senior Girls' parties, the Freshie Frolics, the ronverts, and all the other interesting activi- ties in which you have taken an aetive part or were an interested spectator. These words make up the basic Vocabulary of the attendance office aids. Behind a long row of tables they sit repeating their famous phrases over and over again to the scores of students who are constantly streaming through the doors of room 117. Meanwhile, be- hind the tables, Miss Solfermoser is listening patiently to the sad tale of a student who is Hjust too sick to stay in school another periodf' The dragnet staff will continue their wishing until the happy day Uanuary 81, 20455 when there will he no more absences or tardiness in our school. 12 GRADE ADVISORS According to psychologists all people are born honest. Some of our Hydeparkers seem to be try- ing to prove them Wrong Cin the interest of science, of coursej. They go about their ardu- ous task with this thought: firmness, but fairness. In the interests of our hardworking grade advis- ors, they should start verifying the theories of the phychologists.
