Each class has its officers who are elected through a demo- cratic procedure. Each candidate is nominated by petition and elected by registered voters. Through these oflicers students make their wishes known concerning class activities. The oflicers gain experience in practical politics during their election campaigns and leader- ship training in conducting class assemblies. At these assemblies students are advised to take courses which will aid them in future occupations or prepare them for college. They are also informed about different activities in which they may find the opportunity to ex- press their talents and interests. As each class progresses, it continually develops a dehnite class spirit which reaches its peak in the com- mittee projects of the senior year. ,f 7, tg X Z
