gcfucational tgczlminlstration In the spring, a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love , in the fall, to football, and in winter, there are myriads of wondrous things to attract his attention. The diflicult job of keeping the noses of Aitchpe's students to the well-known grindstone is taken over by the principal, his assistant, and the other executives in Hyde Park's offices and classrooms. After working hard to make the fall semester a successful one our own Papa joe Gonnelly retired, leaving in his wake many memories of the grand job he did in directing Aitchpe's activities. Mr. John R, Specht has been our guiding light the past semester and has proved in many ways how ably he fills the shoes-and they are some size Cmeta- phorically speaking, of coursej-of the acting principal. You can pay him a visit in the North OHice,Aitchpe's headquarters and receiving room for visitors and minor delinquents. If you would like to see a replica in miniature of the F.B.I. record room, inquire about entering a college, or check on almost anything going on in school, go into the South OHice. Miss Lucy Buckley is the acting assistant principal who heads this office, relieving lylr. Specht of many minor tasks. Hyde Park's grade advisers are the immediate contacts between the students and the executives. They'll manipulate your program for you Qfor better or worsej, help you if you get into any trouble, and watch your attendance in sick- ness and health-particularly the latter. Last-but by no means least-are our teachers. You know what fine teachers and good friends they are. just let us say that they teach you the three R's and more, spicing the lessons with their own personalities-whether sugar or pepper-and thus making them more interesting. VVhen you add up all of these wonderful people, you can easily see that we have a mighty line gang to run a really grand old school. 14
