MUSIC FACULTY: Miss Whelan, Miss Finley, Mi-s Culler. Miss Cluiriliill. Miss Kane. Clapt. Fagan. FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION Expression is the outgrowth of thought. As such, free expression shows liberal and unre- strained thinking. In order to think freely we must be at liberty to manage our everyday lives with confidence, ease, and assurance. Hyde Park school life typifies this comment. Every student is privileged to express himself as best he can. Those who are artistic reveal their thoughts in their drawings. Exemplary of this is Art Honor. The musically minded student has a chance to further himself in anv branch of this particular field. Girl ' s Chorus, Male Chorus, A Cap])ella, and Mixed Chorus are mediums for vocal ex- pression. Another outlet of musical ability is the orchestra of our school. Individual style in thinking is stressed in each and every class. This training furthers the pioneering spirit so preci- ous to a growing, progressive nation such as ours. In our schools today it is initiative that receives recognition. It is the persevering pupil that forges ahead to take a prominent position in our everyday American life. Ours is a country of freedom — freedom to express one ' s self as one sees fit. Lights!! Shiiw ' s Over — ! Pd r Sixteen
