The Sp1ndIe Legs Occasmnally we of the Semor herd pause 1n our bellowmg and cud chew1ng to not1ce some cute httle youngsters w1th b1g eyes and sp1ndle legs These l1ttle d0gg1eS are the future wheels of the HHS ranch They are at present attend1ng the grade school bemg sorted and tra1ned so they w1ll be able to carry on the 1mportant trad1t1ons of our herd We not1ce them most when they annoy us usually by act1ng s11ly l1ke but we th1nk they are pretty 1mportant and they are pretty busy learn1ng the th1ngs they w1ll someday need Each room has spec1al projects dur1ng the year and spec1al aCt1V1t16S for the1r parents The k1ndergarten calves have been extra busy They got a new pen and have been try1ng out new stalls w1th fancy seats to use wh1le chew1ng the1r f1rst cuds of book lar1n They took t1me out though for part1es on Hallowe en Chr1stmas Valent1ne Day and Mothers' Day The F1rst and Second Grade herd are learmng a new talent They got t1red of hstemng to the blg herds all talk1ng at one t1me and dec1ded to learn to all talk at one t1me so lt could be understood Th1s 15 called choral readxng and they got pretty good at lt as they showed us at the Arm1st1ce Day program They had a speclal Mothers day on Valent1ne Day where they showed thelr mothers all the thmgs they have done dur1ng the year The herd of Th1rd and Fourth Graders enterta1ned the1r mothers and small brothers The b1g events were opemng presents and refreshments The1r spec1al prpject for the year was learn1ng when not to k1Ck up thelr heels The Th1rd and Fourth Grade herd really started out hke a stampede th1s year They had a new herd r1der and really wanted to show off Once they settled down they took t1me out from wr1nkl1ng the1r brams to have partles every t1me someone had a b1rthday They also had partles for Thanksgwlng Chr1stmas and Valentlne Day The most mmportant herd 1n the grade school 15 the Seventh and Ehghth Grade herd who w1ll soon suffer In1t1at1on tortures We really feel sorry for them but they seem too busy to worry about the next couple years They told short stor1es and made flags of the member nat1ons 1n that b1g new herd the Umted Nat1ons Of course they took t1me out for spec1a1 partles dur1ng the year All of the gr ades partxclpated 1n the Chr1stmas program w1th SPCCIBI numbers The grade school s 1t5 own Pep Club sponsored by M155 Edlth Durst and Mrs Schr1ner The Pep Clu 15 to keep up the sp1r1ts of the grade school basketball team They take part 1n the pr1ng spel11ng contest and 1n the Sandh1lljun1or Olymp1cs event They seem to us 11ke pretty f1ne stock and we reckon the thanks goes to the1r parents and the1r herd r1ders We are loolung forward to seexng them ln the h1gh school corral where they w1ll probably bellow as long and even louder than we d1d ll li - ' - . . , . . . us, - n O a a U . 7 I 7 I 3 . . . . . - I and sisters at a Christmas Party, They had a program of songs and choral readings, . . . , . .
