We assumed the star roles of thls Hyannxs Theatre Group and our fxrst production was the mltlatnon of the amateurs known as the Troupe of 1954 These f1fteen young people proved mgennous III costummg and showed promlse in the1r actmg abxlxty Our publxcity agent per 5. lxfe drama m the 1951 LONG ments to pay for thzs Most of D , this project the only fatahty Q , S X for personal photographs we l. i 'l left for our Understudles and declded to gwe them some favorable publxcxty too Our Chrlstmas party was held on December 22. w1th the Troupe of 1952 m charge of entertamment The productwn managers came through with hohday treats as usual February was our buszest month with partxes volleyball games pep club rallxes basketball games and the one K act play contest crowdmg the calendar The wh1st1e blew for our last Dnstrlct Tourney an basketball at Seneca on suaded us to publxsh our true HORN We sold advertxse us spent a day 1n Allzance on one cute pup' After posxng found we had plenty of space February Z8 We made such a fme showmg we can rest on our laurels The Pep Club entertaxned at a basketball banquet whxch made an approprxate fmale for our athlet1c careers In March Barbara Evert and John Martm were gwen tough try outs called the Regents Exammatxons The biggest hxt of our four years was produced mn April wxth Mr Powell dxrectmg Agam we were fmancxally as well as artlstxcally well repald for our hours of rehearsals The Troupe of 1952 royally entertamed us at a farewell functlon m Aprxl We knew that our stay rn thls theatre group was nearmg xts conclusion We studxed so hard for our fmale that we 1elt the need of a brxef vacatxon away from mt all We left by auto on May 3 for a sneak trxp to the Black H1115 and returned May 6 dog tnred broke but happy Baccalaureate servxce was held at the Congregatxonal Church wlth the Reverend H .T Taylor mn charge We apprecmted the attractxve decoratlons of our colors and flowers which were arranged by the Troupe of 1953 At last came the day of our fmal productxon on Thursday May 17 There was a large audnence of well wxshers on hand to see presmdent of the Board of Productwn Sommers awarded honors for top per were thus successfully graduated and theatre of the world Although we were techxucally no Group we were 1nv1ted to Friday May 18 Enter ball tournament and we grand bunch of F INIS 16 us take our fxnal bows Dr Howell Managers delwered our dnplomas Mr formances of the past four years We became full fledged actors 1n the longer members of the Hyannls Theatre attend the last day pzcmc on tamment was the usual soft enjoyed our last day with a troupers . .
