School Ufficials Supervise Working for the passage of the school levy was a part of this year,s job for Lowell A. Small, superintendent of the Hutchinson school system. Mr. Small, past president of the Kansas State Teachers Association, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas Wesleyan University, and a Master of Arts in administration from Colorado University. He has also been awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Literature. An honorary mem- ber of the Kappa Delta Phi fraternity, Mr. Small completed his post graduate work at Oregon Uni- versity and Missouri University. Interviewing new teachers, presenting recom- mendations to the school board, supervising the activities of the .elementary grade schools, two junior highs, high school and junior college, were a part of carrying out his duties as superintendent of the Hutchinson public schools. 6 THE PRO'S AND CON'S-Mrs. l.
