SECOND ROW: Bill Wright, Larry Jones, Tom Stamey, Tom Turpen, Shera Lynne Rankin, Sharon Havely, Carma Gookins, Becky Caudill, and June Lohnes. THIRD ROW: Charlotte Ziemer, Rose Jones, Mary Lou Briscoe, Nancy Holmes, Betty Lovelock, Connie Westerman, Alma Smith, Loretta White, and Dieter Volpert. 'xchange student This year on Stuco's shoulders has rested the responsibility of sponsoring and financing an American Field Serv- ice exchange student. Dieter Volpert came to Hutchinson from Heidelberg, Germany, as HHS's first exchange stu- dent. Dieter made his farewell address to the student body on May 6. The Student Council also set forth rules for a basketball queen. Before this could become a reality, the stu- dent body voted to amend the Consti- tution. With this accomplished, plans were underway for queen candidate nominations. Of course, there were always dances, elections, and parties to be taken care of the accomplishments achieved in 1 954-55 GOING OVER THE BOOKS are Stuco of- ficers, Treasurer, Jerry Jones, Vice-President, Mary Lou Briscoe, and Secretary, Rose Jones. .
