HOME EC, COMMERCE CONCERNED with education which will prepare them for occupations in the future are the students of the home economics and commerce departments. For in- stance the ideal homemaker of tomorrow might be found pursuing the study of vitamins or baking some tasty dish in Miss Dale Newell's foods class. Or she might be found in one of Miss Esther Cope's or Mrs. Elizabeth Trosper's sewing classes learning the trick of stitching up something attractive to wear. Home- living, another course instructed by Mrs, Trosper, teaches girls such necessary things as how to balance a budget successfully, to furnish the home attractively and shop economically. e . Preparing students for positions in the business world are the courses offered in the -commerce de- partment. They are typing 'taughtiby Miss Bethlene Kinsall, Miss Iva James, and Mr. john Payneg begin- ning stenography taught by MisssKinsall and Miss james and advanced stenography taught by Miss James.
