S Zaliqaiwm TANDING at the top of the administration pyramid is Superintendent of Hutchinson schools W. R. Godwin. To fill this difficult position and work out its many compli- cations and still find time to take such a profound interest in what's going on in the various class rooms takes a keen knowledge of human nature as well as sound judgment and good common sense. Superintendent Godwin possesses these qualities in abundance, and his third year in the Hutchinson school system finds him much admired and respected by the people of the community as well as the teachers and pupils under his jurisdiction. Besides carrying on the routine duties of his job, Superintendent Godwin does many out- side things such as speaking before clubs and organizations to inform them about the problems in education of today's youth. i Superintendent Godwin is a graduate of De Pauw university and has his master's degree from the University of Chicago. He held the position of superintendent of schools at La Porte, Indiana, before coming to Hutchinson. 10
