X9 is ADVICE and counsel were offered to the boys as well as the girls this year by the addition of a boys' adviser, Mr. William T. Cole. Miss Elizabeth Lewis and Miss Esther Cope were asked to assist Miss Hazel Curtis, girls' adviser. Mr. Cole was available fifth and sixth hours in his ofhce for boys desiring conferences with him. Miss Curtis spent the third hour in her office during the first semester, and the fourth and Hfrh hours the second semester for conference work. Miss Lewis and Miss Cope were available for consultation in their rooms after school. f . ,JJ NW' JOHN SUTTON 516455 Ifitom PlI.OTING model airplanes to piloting the student body of Hutchinson high school describes the career of John Sutton, senior, elected by the students as their chief representative. Sutton has proved that he is worthy of his position of presi- dent by carrying out sincerely and honestly the business of the student body. Some of his many duties include presiding over Student Council meetings and over special assemblies and representing the school whenever he is called upon to do so. ln addition to his Student Council duties Sutton has found time to be on the Hi-Y cabinet, a member of Pcrrill Club, Peptomists, and H-Club. He also played on the football team his junior year but because of a broken ankle was forced to sit on the side lines most of the 1942 season. Student-Council officers are Paul Dillon, vice presidentg John Sutton. presidentg Don XVyman, secretary.
