I 'Z' Q AW Meet the guiding influence behind the scenes of high school, the Board of Education. Reading from left to right are: I. C. Foster, I. E. Conklin, Guy Armstrong, C. Lee Detter, president, I. E. Guyer, clerk, V. E. Mammel, Willard Graber. They are elected every four years in the 'general election and divided into seven committees: finance, teachers' salaries, purchas- ing, health and dental, athletic, insurance, and building and grounds. The board members give their time and effort for the best interest of the school and receive no pay for their services. ln an effort to obtain various points of View the members are chosen from every occupation. Mr. Detter has as his duties the signing of all pay checks, pre- siding at meetings, and confirming the decisions of the other members. Meetings are held on the first.Monday of every month at the junior college and are open to the public. Special meetings are called when emergencies arise. Ten
