Your son Q S1 REDHEAD. Dear Dad: December 15, 1912. It is purty nere Christmas. The foot- ball team this year was purty good I played on it. Our class pennant has come being as it is nise lookin. Our president, a boy by the name of that study I like, quite school because of trouble with his best girl and now he is is back to school and bythe girl. I would of astes her to a party if he wasnt but now there aint any one left pretty. I went eny way to the party and a boy come up to me and said is your name Speck Stevens an I said no and he looked around an saw his man a standin there. It sure was funny and everbody said Speck looked a lot like me only he is darker com- plected than me. In this school the teach- ers are funny. Thats all. good by SIMON REDHEAD. l The sixteenth of May. A. D. 1914. Dear Pater and Mater: This is the most peculiar school. You know how amicably the teachers and I crossed each others paths in my first two years. This year they dont treat us right -they are funny-not laughable, Pater, but erratic, eccentric, as it were. I haven't learned a thing from them. For example, I can state with unquestionable veracity that they have objected to our numberless exploits, such as raising our colors by moonlight and our beautiful class parties with the girl of our choice. Ialways did think the girls here were dainty confection- ery. Why, our Don Shaffer can talk with more fluency and say less than any of the pedagogues. ' I regret exceedingly that the exegencies of class politics necessitates my appearance at the school house. There are gawkv Freshmen and blatant Sophomores standing outside my window in silent adoration. I must, Pater familias, Htrail the puissant Plkei' a la Billy Shakes. Filially yours, . SIMON RUFUS.
