Students keep up with fads and fashions There will always be fads, and as long as there are fads the students at HCC will move with the times. . Fashions are always affected by the times. This year one could see fads in both men's and women's clothing. For women there were stirrup pants and tight knit pants with a stripe of elastic that slips under the foot. Along with these pants, big shirts, ones that button up the front and hang down past the waist, are also worn. Big heavy socks are worn over the pant legs and any shoes the person feels like wearing finishes the outfit. New banana clips were also introduced this year and caught on fast at HCC. They are an easy and fashionable way to pull one's hair back out of the face. Men also saw fads in their wardrobe. Black tennis shoes and high tops are worn by many of the guys at HCC. Also long trench coats are in style for guys. Along with fashions there were other fads. Personalized license plates are popping up more and more on cars. Soon these fads will pass and new ones will come, and HCC students will also change to fit in with the new styles.
