wb? Why do students choose HCC? Maybe students just want to get away from home or spread their wings. Many come because they can get a head start in college life at HCC. They have the advantage of smaller classes which offer personal assistance from teachers and a chance to get to know their fellow students. A variety of programs is offered to students in fields ranging from business to the fine arts. There are ?E3QlIQlI? These laboratories give students practical experience. A technical pro- gram gives training in advertising, retail management, drafting, welding and electronics. The South Campus offers a program in agriculture. HCC attracts students interested in pursuing their sports careers while furthering their education. They com- pete in leagues, meets and tour- naments in football, cross country, volleyball, tennis, basketball, track, golf and baseball. The campus has more to offer than both class lectures and laboratories. Labs are offered in science, home economics, broadcasting, photog- raphy, art, vocal and instrumental music and student publications. academics and sports.
